New Hampshire is one of our nation's smallest states with an area of 9,304 square miles, bordered by Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, Quebec to the north and the Atlantic Ocean. New Hampshire is one of the 13 original colonies. We were the 9th state to ratify the Constitution and entered statehood on June 21, 1788.
